Balloon Festival 2023

Chris and I made early morning trips to see two different hot air balloon events.

First up was the 32nd Annual JPMorgan Chase Hudson Valley Hot-Air Balloon Festival. We left at 4:30 AM and found the event space which was busy with setup. 

No outside food allowed was allowed at the event and yet the security looking in my bag missed the 2 sandwiches, 4 assorted granola bars, a Lacroix and two bottles of water. They waved a security wand on everyone but only over the front which seems like 50% of the job.

The views were gorgeous and vibrant like a Pixar movie come to life. We got to go for a tethered flight which was peaceful but a bit crowded in the basket.

The second trip was to the Adirondack Balloon Festival in Queensbury, NY on 9/23.
